Join Ethan Tapper – internationally-recognized forester, digital storyteller, and bestselling author – for a weekend in the woods of Rowe in the midst of spring bird migration. This workshop is an opportunity to learn about forest ecology, natural history, and more while witnessing the arrival of dozens of species of migratory songbirds, the phenomenon that Ethan calls: “one of the great wonders of the world.” Participants will learn from Ethan on birding walks, nature walks, and lectures, share his morning writing practice with him, and more. This course will help you start or expand an individual donor program, with an emphasis on strategies that anyone (especially volunteers!) can carry out. You’ll learn about the elements of successful fundraising, how to implement different fundraising strategies, build and support a fundraising team, increase your confidence in asking for money (including personal one-on-one solicitations), and create a fundraising plan.
