Jenna Cusack

The Camp Manager oversees all aspects of Rowe Camp operations, staff, programming, and compliance. The Camp Manager is the primary point of escalation for concerns that cannot be resolved with your child’s Co-Director, and is responsible for approving all camp policies.

Amelia McLaughlin

The Camp Coordinator supports the day-to-day logistics of camp, including registration, family communications, pre-arrival paperwork, and scheduling. If you have questions about your child’s enrollment, session dates, or forms, the Camp Coordinator is your first point of contact.

He graduated from Hampshire College with a focus on Childhood studies and Education, and spent the last four years as an afterschool program Director. Jordan Walker

Jordan is incredibly excited to be returning to Rowe this summer as Co-Director. Rowe has always held a special place in Jordan’s heart, and it means so much to come back in this new role and be part of such a meaningful community. Camp has been a big part of Jordan’s life, both as a camper and as a staff member. Jordan is passionate about creating a fun, supportive, and safe environment where every camper feels seen, valued, and excited to be themselves.

Bear Hirsch

A New Jersey native living in Brooklyn, Bear is delighted to be returning to JHC this summer as a Co-Director before beginning her studies at Union Theological Seminary. Bear brings three years of Rowe Camp staff experience to the role, as well as a plethora of youth work from her daily life. Bear is a graduate of Bard, where she organized for on-campus labor rights, and worked as a tutor for neuro-atypical children. Most recently, Bear has worked as a substitute teacher for the NYC school system, and as a youth curriculum director for a Synagogue in Brooklyn. Bear is passionate about making camp a safe space for all youth, and is overjoyed to be helping create the magic that is Junior High Camp this summer. When she isn’t working, Bear likes to read, cook, and lift weights, any of which she’ll talk your ear off if you give her the chance.

Noah Walker

Noah is thrilled to be returning to Junior High Camp in the Co-Director role for 2026! Noah began attending Rowe in 2004 as a camper and graduated to a staff role in 2014. Noah is one of the only directors this summer who attended our full range of camps as a youth: YPC, JHC and SHC! Noah’s last year on staff was 2021, and is looking forward to bringing his skills back to Rowe this Summer. For the last three years, Noah has been working with local kids as a New York State Mentor in Binghamton, where he currently resides. Outside of his youth work, Noah is a jack of all trades; spending many years as a professional Magic: The Gathering player, and currently working in the busy world of food service. At Camp, Noah is known for creating long-lasting community bonds in cabins, leading meaningful Chapels, and helping facilitate intricate camp games. Outside of camp, Noah spends time with his friends and family (and pets!), going to the gym and playing music!

Sydney Thompson

Sydney has been a Rowie since she was a Junior High camper in 2008. Growing up at camp taught her how to build intentional community, incorporate play into her everyday life, and truly value the inherent worth and dignity of every person. In 2018 she graduated from Sarah Lawrence College with her Master’s in Women’s History with a focus on adolescent sex education in the United States, reinforcing her deep empathy for the challenges that come with being a teenager. She lives in Colorado where she spends as much time as possible outside in the mountain air. She hopes to use her position as Senior High Camp Co-Director to continue the tradition of helping young people understand just how much they matter.
