YOUNG FAMILIES CAMP
SUMMER CAMP FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
Founded in 1924, Unitarian Universalist Rowe Camp has provided a space for young people to come together in community to explore, play, reflect, and grow. At Rowe, young people learn how to listen, make new friends, find their voice, try new things, and explore their place in the world around them.
Rowe is not only a space for youth to grow and learn, but folks of all ages. At young families' camp, adults and children alike can be in community together.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Grandmas, grandpas, opas, bubbies, parents, cousins, and kiddos are all welcome at young families camp. You and your family will revel in three very special days of music-making, drawing, painting, and games facilitated by outstanding camp leaders.
Sometimes you’ll be together with the kiddos, sometimes with your age-mates. You’ll enjoy legendary meals (picky eaters cheerfully accommodated!) and have time to share your joys, silly stories, and wonderful new experiences. You’ll have a chance to explore together with families. Come prepared to be moved and uplifted! You’ll leave with songs in your heart, art in your hand, and most of all, memories you’ll never forget.
While a great deal has changed in the nearly 40 years since, we still gather for comfort, companionship, a sense of family, and a celebration of this life together. We are the oldest continuous gathering of our kind in the nation, a place where hundreds of lives have been transformed across the decades, and a place where all who seek to join us are warmly welcomed.
