Fundraising in Difficult Times: Cohort 2

$415.00

This four-session “previously recorded” Zoom training will help you solve the biggest challenge facing nonprofits: how to build a base of individual donors, which is essential for any organization’s present and future. And there is no one better qualified to do it than Kim, the author of the classic Fundraising for Social Change, with more than 40 years of hands-on experience.

Starting with understanding that the purpose of fundraising is to build relationships, Kim will show you why focusing on relationships rather than donations will result in loyal donors who give money, time, visibility, ideas, and contacts to your organization. You’ll learn how to choose the right fundraising strategy, how to identify prospects and how to ask for money in person. You’ll discover how to keep track of your donors, design and run donor campaigns, how to recruit and support a team of askers, and how to create a fundraising plan. This very practical course is grounded in social justice values and assumes that organizations will lead with their mission and vision. It is designed for staff, board members, and volunteers.

The sessions build on each other and there will be homework between sessions.
