About The Program
A Gathering of Grandparents facilitated by Jane Isay, author of Unconditional Love: A Guide to Navigating the Joys and Challenges of Being a Grandparent Today, was started in the spring of 2020. We spent the year discussing the loss of closeness with the grandchildren and all the other losses we were enduring. The following year we focused on adjusting to our new circumstances, and the small victories we achieved, to connect and continue our lives. We have now moved on to being a place for grandparents to continue to grow and to become vessels of hope and perspective for ourselves, our children, and our grandchildren. Newcomers are always welcome.
Check out Jane Isay’s articles, Eight Candles in the Dark: A Year of Miracles and Help! My Grandchildren Keep Changing.
