About The Program

Advanced Shamanic Training: Shamanism and Spirits of Nature

If you’ve taken the “Way of the Shaman” program based on Michael Harner’s shamanic work, this advanced training will lead you to the next level.

From ancient times, shamans have worked with the spirits of nature for healing, survival, and knowledge. By learning from the plants and animals, from the rocks and mountains, from the winds and waters, and from the sun, moon, and stars, shamans helped their peoples live in harmony with the universe. In a world now out of balance, the way of the shaman can teach how to respect nature, our Planet, and its inhabitants at a deep spiritual level. As our ancestors everywhere once knew, our survival depends on the survival of the other species. By working together intensively through shamanic journeys and other spiritual experiences, we will dedicate ourselves to working in both non ordinary and ordinary reality to restore and maintain a living Planet.

Please bring a drum and /or rattle; an eye cover; notebook and pen;  a blanket and pad for lying down on the floor; hiking shoes for your time-off explorations; water bottle, and whatever else you feel is necessary for your comfort.

Note: A prerequisite for this weekend is the Foundation of Shamanic Studies Basic Workshop (The Way of the Shaman) with an authorized FSS Faculty Member.

Successful completion of this workshop is one of the prerequisites to receive the FSS Gold Certificate of Completion.  13 Foundation for Shamanic Studies Continuing Education (CE) Credits available

Since 1997 Nan has explored and shared her inspired calling of Weather Shamanism. Her explorations have resulted in a divinatory card deck, Cloud Dancing: Wisdom From the Sky, and her book, Weather Shamanism: Harmonizing Our Connection With the Elements.
