Chop Wood, Carry Water –
Volunteer Opportunities at Rowe
Do you feel called to service? Join our summer volunteer program! Our buildings and grounds need energy and care. Come help paint a house, mow some grass, weed a garden, or rebuild part of the barn floor. What skills do you have to share – be the camp nurse for a session or a relief nurse for a weekend, assist with mailings. There is always extra work to be done over the summer. You can volunteer for as little as a few days, weeks, or the whole summer.
Volunteers work 28 hours a week. Work is the general labor needed to keep Rowe Camp going and usually includes doing KP (washing pots and pans) as well as other duties. If you have special skills that we should be aware of, please let us know that when you apply.
To share one’s time and talent is a generous gift, one that adds meaning to our lives. Rowe has a vision of creating a world where peace, justice, and love ar ethe values we live by. This seems monumental, but it happens with every small act of love. Help us manifest our dream. For more information, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 413-339-4954.
Conference Season Volunteers
We also appreciate having volunteers during our conference center season (September through June). Mostly our conference season volunteers come through our work-study internship program, which has a minimum of a six week stay. If you are unable to come for six weeks, please ask about volunteering. April through June, September/October, and December/January tend to be our transition times and we can always use extra help. Other times are possible as well. Contact us to see if we are in need of volunteers. Acceptance into our volunteer program is based on space availability.
