The Woodside Diversity Fund
Rowe Camp respects all people, especially young people. The camp community fosters a “culture of respect” for youth. Freedom, honesty, and caring are all central. Young people are encouraged to be who they are, to take risks, and to speak from the heart. Campers emerge from camp having experienced themselves differently, and the changes last. It may sound grandiose to say that camp is a life-transforming experience, but it is true. As young people come to believe in themselves, they see the possibilities for changing the world, and camp becomes a model for connect, for peace, and for greatness. Here at Rowe we want to make sure that every young person who wants to gets to experience the wonder of camp.
The Woodside Diversity Fund provides scholarships for low income campers and children of color. Established in 1999, this fund provides Rowe with the opportunity to create a space where young people can relate and connect, while learning to interact in caring, thoughtful ways that honor the principles of social justice.
To apply for a scholarship, you must first register for camp.
