What a Clown Knows: A Weekend of Hijinks, Hilarity, and Heart
Date(s) - September 7, 2018 - September 9, 2018
Welcome to the wonderful world of Avner the Eccentric, hailed as one of the greatest clowns of all time!
Avner Eisenberg is perhaps best known for his scene-stealing portrayal of The Jewel in the film “The Jewel of the Nile.” Avner has performed widely on Broadway as well as in regional theaters throughout the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Although the world celebrates him as a clown, Avner calls his art form Eccentric Performance. This paradoxical form of theater is by turns wily or dim-witted, skillful or blundering, sharply witty or eloquently silent, and always touching the human heart. Call it what you will, the man is funny! As you join in, you’ll be absorbing some serious life lessons. You’ll come away with tools and confidence to lighten up your life as you tighten up your motor and communication skills. You’ll even discover how to cure your personal case of “imposter syndrome.” This, says Avner, is the key to clowning–and to life. Current performers are welcome, but no previous performing experience is required.
