Join Rosemary, a bright star in the world of modern herbalism, and discover the power of herbal healing for yourself and your family!
Herbalism is for everyone interested in health, wellbeing, and healing. Everyone in the family, from infant to elder, can benefit from its health-giving properties. Rosemary is a master teacher and a leader in the global herbalist community. She has practiced, lived, studied, taught, and written about herbs for over 40 years. In this practical, hands-on workshop, she will teach you how to create an herbal apothecary for your home, 15 popular herbs and their uses, traditional remedies for health and wellbeing, safety issues concerning herbs, herb and drug interaction, how to find plant medicine in woods and gardens and weedy lots, and books and references to guide you in your herbal studies. You’ll make salves, tinctures, syrups, medicinal tea blends, and other favorite herbal preparations. You’ll also look at kitchen medicine and local backyard remedies, learn how to prepare herbs, and discuss the importance of ecological herbalism and responsible, sustainable harvesting — herbalism with a future.
