Don’t believe what they tell you on American Idol.  Music is for everyone, not the chosen few.  And it’s not supposed to SOUND a certain way. You’re not supposed to LOOK a certain way, and no one can judge, compare, or quantify your creative expression.

Join award-winning singer and songwriter David Roth on a whirlwind tour of creativity, self-expression, and authenticity. He brings 23 years of full-time music-making to a highly interactive workshop geared towards getting you jump-started on the music you’ve been longing to make or reconnect with.
We’ll start simply and build our masterpieces brick-by-brick. We’ll brainstorm compelling individual themes, find our own melodies and rhythms, and explore the different elements that make a song click.  We’ll learn to mold inspiration and develop universal truths from personal stories.

We’ll also have fun in a safe, supportive, permissive, and powerful environment as we take time to write, to listen, to collaborate, to learn from one other, and to address any specific questions you may have. Bring instruments if you like, but playing one isn’t necessary; all you need is a willingness to share what’s in your heart.

This workshop, for people of all levels of experience, lasts an extra day and costs an extra $95. We’ll plant the seeds that will grow music back into our lives in ways that will last.  With any luck (the intersection of opportunity and persistence), we’ll return home with personal creations that no one else on earth could express in the same way.
