Inspired by the science of movements taught for centuries in secluded Dervish brotherhoods and informed by yoga, tai chi, and more recent methods like eurythmy and stretching, Dervish Yoga, or Samadeva Gestural Euphony, is a new art of movement. It stimulates and harmonizes all our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual resources, allowing us to be more at peace, more creative, and more joyful in our daily lives.

Dervish Yoga consists of slow, meditative movements that mobilize and strengthen our powers of attention. Dynamic, dance-like movements fill us with new energy, bringing deep harmony to every level of our being. It relaxes and invigorates our body, harmonizes our psyche, and sharpens our mind. We learn through our body to listen to ourselves, to who we really are, our profound inner being. Ms. Griffith regularly leads workshops in Dervish Yoga, the Essential Psychology, Family Constellations, and Meridian Energetic Techniques throughout Europe. Ennea Tess Griffith, the creator of Dervish Yoga, is author of Dervish Yoga for Health and Longevity and founder of the Free University of Samadeva in France. She has practiced many Eastern and Western movement techniques since her early youth and has been working over the past ten years to make the ancient knowledge and practical methods of the dervishes available to the West. She is a respected spiritual teacher in the lineage of Idris Lahore. We welcome her on her first visit not only to Rowe, but also her very first workshop in North America.
