We are just beginning to understand the true nature of the heart, the first organ to form in the body. Over the past two decades we have learned the heart contains extensive brain-like neural matter and sends electromagnetic and chemical information to balance and regulate the rest of the body. This “heartpower” can be harnessed for healing at emotional, physical and spiritual levels.
The amplitude of the heart’s electrical field is 60 times greater than that of the brain and its magnetic field is 5000 times as strong. We can “reach out and touch” people 8 to 10 feet away.
In groups, the heart fields combine to create a collective heart field, a powerful space for healing work. As one group member goes deeper and gets closer to his or her core, the others feel the energetic vibration of this “heart opening.” The heart has the power to create a safe healing community.
When we feel emotionally safe, we open to feelings, body sensations, and deeper thoughts that allow soul-deep healing to take place. We will explore how our hearts become wounded, how we can help one another and how we heal. Hopefully, you will leave feeling emotionally and spiritually nourished, feeling both the peace and empowerment that come from the heart.
