Sound has been used as a catalyst for healing throughout time and is one of the most promising therapies in complementary medicine today. A growing body of scientific evidence suggests that the informed use of sound can affect physical and mental states of being. These uses include sounds and music made by chanting, toning, vocal harmonics, shamanic drumming and journeying, electronic instruments, “singing” bowls, bells, and tuning forks.

We are vibrational beings, so healing occurs when sound frequencies interact with physical and psychological conditions. The use of clear communication and conscious intention helps create an environment for healing, wellness, and growth and are often used in conjunction with traditional medicine.

Join with some of the most accomplished sound healers in the world, in this Fourth Annual Sound Healing Conference of the International Sound Healing Network (SHN, formerly NESHRI, members receive a $15 discount). Learn some of the latest scientific research into the nature of sound and explore the re-emerging science of cymatics, the study of how sound vibration interacts with physical form. Experience workshops, devotional and ecstatic chanting, sacred sound and shamanic techniques, and a Concert of the Goddesses Saturday night with 5 outstanding Devas. We will explore our deeper natures and resonate with the mystery of the world within and around us.

Additional half day workshops are available with several presenters on Friday from 1-5PM. You can find a list and how to register for them at www.soundhealingnetwork.org, where you will also find longer bios of our amazing and distinguished leaders and the full program schedule.

Zacciah Blackburn founded and directs the Center of Light Institute of Sound Healing and Shamanic Studies, is Director of Education for SHN, and co-founded the World Sound Healing/All One Now Network. He makes musical instruments, is a sound healer and educator, and will present Walking Between Worlds: The Shamanic Door. Dr. Molly Scott, a therapist, singer, educator, and pioneer in the use of the embodied voice in psychotherapy, directs the Creative Resonance Institute. She will focus on sounding a bridge between main stream and esoteric therapeutic practice. For 20 years, Jeff Volk has published programs on Cymatics — how sound creates harmonic, geometric patterns that are found in intricate life forms and sacred art and architecture. Dr. John Beaulieu founded BioSonic Repatterning™, is a past supervisor of Music Therapy at Bellevue Psychiatric Hospital, and wrote Music and Sound in the Healing Arts. He will share his molecular research in energy medicine that tunes the human nervous system with tuning forks. Chloe Goodchild is an international singer and recording artist from the UK, a music philosopher and voice teacher, and founder of The Naked Voice and Singing Field. She researches how the spoken and sung human voice acts as a vehicle for compassionate communication and she’ll conduct programs on the power of awakening through sacred sound, chant, and the devotional voice. Silvia Nakkach, MA, MMT, is an Award-winning composer, psychotherapist, internationally acclaimed performer, and pioneer in the field of sound, transformation of consciousness, and music shamanism. She is Founder/Director of Vox Mundi School of the Voice and is the creator and academic advisor of the Sound, Voice, Music Healing Certificate at California Institute of Integral Studies.
