This is Sharon and Patricia’s last workshop here.Why aren’t our love relationships easier? As lesbians, we have internalized society’s homophobia and struggle with feelings of invisibility that can affect our relationships with partners and families. Learn what was never taught in school: how to cultivate the disciplines and delights of love and how to relate more skillfully, so your relationships become a fertile area in which to grow.
In the safety and support of a warm, accepting space, learn to communicate more effectively, express love and appreciation, and to use your relationship for emotional healing and spiritual awareness. Understand how to read the signals of your brain and nervous system so you can diffuse the power struggles that develop into fights that miss the real issues.
Couples will share primarily with each other, so there is no pressure for group disclosure and confidentiality is protected. Carefully crafted exercises will show you how to move toward the relationship of your dreams. This retreat is inspired by many years of experience learning, practicing, and teaching the ideas and skills designed by Dr. Harville Hendrix, Getting the Love You Want. and Dr. Pat Love, The Truth about Love. There will be extensive hand-outs and a materials charge of $7.
Sharon Kleinberg and Patricia Zorn have been life partners for over 21 years and therapists for 35. Together they provide the warmth, sensitivity, skill, and humor that help the work of relationships unfold. They will be assisted again by their long time friend and colleague, Susan Nobel, who has been lending her expertise to these workshops for many years They said they were retiring from presenting workshops; we asked them to do one last one; they said no; we begged & pleaded; they finally agreed, and everyone wept for joy.
