What kind of world do you want for yourself and children of the future? A foundation in active nonviolence provides principles and tools to help you change the world. You’re not powerless! You can address injustice, oppression, and violence without becoming like the people you criticize just as others have before you. As Dr. King said, “It is no longer a choice between violence and nonviolence; it is a choice between nonviolence and nonexistence.”
In this experiential workshop, you will deepen your understanding of violence, nonviolence, community building, and successful social change. You will reconnect to your own power and resources and learn principles and tools for nonviolent living. No matter what your previous training or spiritual path, you’ll leave refreshed, inspired, and committed to transformative nonviolence as a way of life.
Fear of conflict and violence can prevent us from finding security and becoming our true selves. Instead of accommodating violence, fleeing, or fighting back when we are faced with injustice or conflict, we can respond actively and nonviolently. We can talk more openly with family and friends without avoiding sensitive topics. We can learn to relish a new-found sense of openness and adventure that allows us to grow personally and spiritually. Active nonviolence is a spiritually-grounded power for transforming daily life at the core of your being
